United States Army Command Sergeant Major (Ret) and Senior Logistics Executive with over 33 years of extensive strategic leadership and logistics experience aligning personnel and resources with organizational initiatives to deliver top-notch supply chain management and distribution solutions to improve standards in productivity, efficiency, and quality. An inspirational leadership speaker and highly skilled in all global supply chain management and logistics operations. James has developed and sustained strategic customer relationships for mutual growth, profitability, trust, loyalty, and innovation. He is dedicated to delivering expert advice and insight to improve organizational accuracy, service level, and quality of distribution operations while supporting an organization’s, mission, vision, and strategic goals.

With five wartime deployments, James leadership and supply chain expertise are unmatched.  He served as a Command Sergeant Major at every level cumulating as the former Senior Enlisted Advisor and the Army’s Senior Enlisted Logistician and Supply Chain Expert for the Commanding General of the Army Materiel Command, a multi-billion dollar enterprise. He provided supply chain planning expertise at the highest level.

Additionally as the Army Material Command Senior Enlisted Advisor, James played a major role in overseeing day-to-day operations of the Army’s Global Distribution and Deployment, Munitions Management, 23 Organic Industrial Manufacturing Facilities, Globally Army Pre-Positioned Stocks, Materiel Management, 73 Logistic Readiness Distribution Centers, Procurement, Research, Development, Analysis and Engineering, and Global Sustainment with the management of over 124,000 military and civilian employees, and contractors located in 52 states and 146 countries with an annual operating budget over $52 billion and more than $92 billion in obligated contracts. James consistently:

  • Communicate how Army’s Materiel Integrator operationalizes its capabilities in support of Army Priorities by synchronizing strategic logistic assets using Lead Materiel Integration solutions across the Army Materiel Command. 
  • Shaped and influenced Army Sustainment doctrine to assure the codification of lessons-learned, best practices, and emerging concepts for six major transportation organizations responsible for 20 million square feet of deployment and redeployment cargo movement or 314 vessel operations per year. 
  • Strategically built and regenerated readiness across the Army for personnel, training, and equipping for both early-to-deploy and follow-on forces. 

James holds a Master of Science in Business Management from Summit University New Orleans, Louisiana and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Trident University  (Summa Cum Laude) Cypress, California.
